This is the fourth time Mary has helped us with the sale or purchase of a home. We had a contract after six weeks. It was a contingency offer based on the buyer selling their home. They already had a buyer for their house and requested a 7 week closing date to coordinate with their sale. A contingency sale can be a risky situation with a lot of moving parts that all had to fall into place to make it work. Mary emailed detailed weekly updates. It not only showed items that we needed to take care, but also provided the current status on both our buyer's loan process and their buyers. She was in constant contact with the buyer's realtor and loan agent to make sure everything stayed on schedule. The whole contingency process went smoothly and we were kept informed every step of the way. After the buyer inspection on our home, there were several requested repairs (one major) that required licensed contractors, plus a number of smaller items. We were overwhelmed and discouraged. Mary not only calmed our concerns, she researched local contractors, arranged estimates, and followed up until all repairs were complete. She totally took the stress off our shoulders. Mary Platt is an amazing realtor ... thorough, professional, knowledgeable, organized and responsive. She goes above and beyond for her clients and always has their best interests first and foremost. Mary is the best. She helped us buy two homes and sell one. The first time we walked into her office she had listings for us to look at within an hour. Not only do they return calls & emails promptly, but they always completely answered my questions. During the sale, both led me through the steps and followed-up with the buyer agent to let me know where we were in the process. * I was very happy with how my home was advertised. The photographs posted online were extremely impressive. The Platts gave me several good suggestions to easily and inexpensively change the home to make it more marketable. * I never once felt pressure to accept an offer. Their motivation was my happiness with the deal rather than a paycheck. * Both went above-and-beyond several times for me. For example, on the day of closing, my wife accidentally broke a door handle in the house. My tools were packed away and I was at work. Tom Platt came over with his tools to fix the handle. They could have easily ignored this, but Tom & Mary wanted the buyers to be happy with their new home. Selling a home is never a stress-free experience, but hiring Tom & Mary Platt definitely reduced the stress level. I'm glad I listed with them.
